London Court Cafe as the name suggests, is located within London Court in the city of Perth, famous for its traditional English environment. I like this cafe as it is very cosy and has really good lasagne! However, it is quite tiny so it gets filled out very fast during lunch hour so be early or you’ll miss out!
It was raining cats and dogs the day we went for lunch so there were not that many people in the cafe. The place felt even cosier with the rain pelting outside while we stayed warm (and slightly damped) inside. I haven’t seen my friend for a few years now since she moved with her hubby to work in Singapore so I was looking forward to catching up with her now that they are back. =)
The menu is slightly limited in this cafe, they mainly sell sandwiches, salads, cakes, scones with devonshire tea (all displayed at the front counter) and some light meals. I was craving their lasagne anyways so I ordered that without looking at the menu and my friend followed suit.
The Traditional Beef Lasagne came with a side of salad and a piece of garlic bread at a cost of $17.90. The lasagne came out all warm, with the cheese melting as you dig into it and the spices from the generous sauce oozing out, providing a fresh aroma. It was quite substantial too, very important in the rating of a good lunch! The garlic bread tasted home made which is a plus. Yum Yum!
Overall, it was an enjoyable lunch! I had tried the Caesar Salad with Chicken there before and remembered it as being very yummy too! You can tell that I like this cafe! Give it a try – it is so central, perfect for those working in the city!
