Zensaki has been operating in the city for a number of years now, situated below Allendale Square on the busy St Georges Terrace, of which I am a frequent visitor. They cook up great bento lunch boxes for dine-in and are very popular with the working crowd especially with a large variety of sushis, salad and hot food (my favourite is the Korokke!) on offer.
This is their second restaurant in the city, with this store concentrating on serving the ever delicious Japanese Ramen noodles! Can’t wait to try the Ramen out when they officially open tomorrow. But for now, here is a sneak peek of the restaurant:
One of the feature of this restaurant is the funky ramen noodle bar running along the edge of the restaurant, backed by soft red lighting on the wall. It looks so cool!

The number of ‘add-ons’ is totally up to the customer and what they would prefer to go with the Ramen. Quite innovative I thought! (I ate in an udon noodle restaurant in Tokyo earlier this year with a similar concept. It is very flexible for people who like to pick and choose their food). Awesome!
Besides the Noodle Toppings, there are also different choices of soup flavour available! More to choose from! Zensaki also sells sushi and hot food on their bain marie – great for takeaway during the busy working lunch hour.
Fortunately for us, we were able to sample their sushi, hot food and desserts tonight and they were delicious!

Great opening party! Love this place, it’s a far cry from the old Mr Samurai. The restaurant is modern, trendy and full of exciting vibe! As a matter of fact, Miss Egg told me she will be visiting the joint tomorrow – hope to hear her review after her visit! Oh how cool! I actually wasn’t aware of the original one, so you’ve now taught me about two restaurants, I’m a bit out of the city loop these days now that I don’t work there any more.
